Hydrangea
Hydrangea flowers symbolize gratitude! This blue hydrangea painting is on an 8" x 8" wood cradled panel. I put some texture medium on the base and painted with vibrant acrylic paint, This painting is full of texture and finished with a glossy varnish to make the colors pop!

This up close hydrangea flower is a part of my "Up Close and Personal" series. During this whole pandemic and social distancing, I have found that what I miss the most is being close to those I love and do life with. Though I am grateful for technology, it is not the same as looking into someone eyes and feeling their presence. I know that after this is all said and done I will not take for granted the blessing of being present with those I love!
As I was thinking about this I decided to get up close to some flowers, kind of like looking into their "eyes" and seeing inside their hearts. When we can all reunite, maybe we will look a little closer and deeper into the eyes and hearts of those around us.
